Dr. Tijerino was born in Managua, Nicaragua in 1970. His father, a pediatric surgeon and his mother a journalist were forced to flee due to civil war and political persecution. When he was 11 years old the family relocated to Northen Virginia outside of Washington, D.C. where he grew up. In 1991, after high school his family relocated to south Florida. Once in Florida he finished his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Florida; followed by a residency in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. “T” as his team members and patients like to call him, enjoys travel, cooking, running, and golfing. He lives with his life partner Dr. Juliana Navarro who is a dentist for the Veterans Administration hospital.
Dr. Tijerino graduated with honors in the top 10% of his dental class. He has been practicing in private practice for 20 years. He is extremely meticulous and driven to continue learning the best and latest technology, techniques, and materials. He has over 1,000 high level continuing education credits. His patients are always complementing his light touch and painless injections.
Dr. Tijerino plans to stay and practice in South Florida where he can establish relationships with his patients, the community and professional colleagues.
